New to themes and templates, couple of questions

When I go into the templates section, I see two themes available: Classic and Default...

1) If I wanted to switch to classic, how would I do that?

2) Also, if I modify the code in the default template and then want the original code back, how do I do that?

(As I'm writing this, I'm thinking that my indexU is showing the Classic View, and the Default selection is there to provide the "default code" if I wanted to return to it in the classic view - is 'that' correct?)

Your visitor can choose to use classic or default theme set, just go to user cp -> pref

Indexu is not like vbulletin yet, by which you can select original code back. What you should do is backup your files and replace the template file you edited and re-upload it to your server.

Hmmm, they should fix that...

No one has addressed the issues of making the 'classic view" the 'default' view...

Do I have to copy all of the 'classic' code into the 'default' box? or does anyone know of a way to make the classic view the main one my users see?

Hi,

To swap over the templates so the classic view is the default all I did was to rename the directory ' default ' to ' default2 ' and 'classic' to 'default'.

Have not fully tested it out yet but seems to work.

I did a simple rename of the directories and didn’t experience any problems .
