I sent an inquiry a week+ ago and no answer. I went ahead an bought the webby template, but would like to know if there is a way to make it a fixed width template rather than the full width...

Anyone know the answer? or know how to get a response from indexuthemes.com?

indexuthemes.com is not part of nicecoder so I can't really help you with contacting them.

To make the theme fixed width you should just need to specify a width in the header.

You can add a wapper class in the css file, and put your pages inside it.
Example :
.fixedwrapper {
width: 1024px;
text-align: center;
}

Then in your pages :
<div class="fixedwrapper">
your content goes here
</div>

For IndexU, probably only need to changes 3 files : styles.css, header.html and footer.html
