Error implementing new templates

Hi,

I am new to indexu, just downloaded 5.4.0 version. I downloaded newly released free templates, unziped into the templates folder. But when i set active any of new template, i get the errors as shown in the attached pics.

A couple of things to try:

Did you follow this section of the install readme file :

3. CHMOD 777 the following files and folder

- .htaccess
- application.php
- page_caching.txt
- backup
- cache
- lang/english.php
- payment/paypal.inc.php
- payment/2co.inc.php
- payment/egold.inc.php
- payment/authorizenet.inc.php
- templates_c
- themes and its subfolders and files
- upload_files

Also, are you sure that those files ( in the error message ) exist?? When I imported a a theme, I used the "Import" link under the "Templates" heading and choose the .zip file of the theme. It then uploaded it and extracted it to the correct place on the server. Then I had to go and change the permissions on the folders and files for the template I imported

I am using 5.0.1 Version, while template is of 5.0.4 Version. Should it work ?

While on the 5.0.4 Version, it helped as you explained. While on mine 5.0.1
Version, Site went completely blank. As well page of Theme. Now i don't
know how to resent the theme because its all blank.

why dont you just upgrade to a new version, it will all work great then. your using a really old version.

your on 5.01 , the new version is 5.4 not 5.04 like you said in your post
