I don't know why, but your ticket is closed. If you're still having issues that you want me to look at please let me know.

    Talking The Plot Thickens ....

Hey Bruceper, No, I don't know why ticket is closed. The only remaining issue is the offline message popup. When you press submit, after completing the fields, the page returns a server error when you press submit. I have sent the error logs by email to you, but I have created a ftp login for you as well. Don't know if you still have that or if I can PM you with it again. All other functions seem to be working fine, HOWEVER, I cant seem to change the text on the button for some reason. Im sure it is just a CHMOD issue, and will try and find out why, so don't bother, UNLESS you of course know.

    Question The Final Cut

    Hi Bruceper

It seems we have some communications issues. One of my colleagues have opened the original ticket for this issue, and I have been corresponding via PM as well as on the forum with yourself. Had a reply on the ticket from someone at Nicecoder asking what the problem is? Surely he must be joking???

I have sent you the ftp login details. i have emailed the server script error. We have tried from our side to get the error resolved, but I must say a week later and still not having an answer, it is getting a bit frustrating.

I have found another script from another supplier, bought it and installed it and it works out of the box. Although I am trying to build some relationship with Nicecoder as I am planning a multi licence purchase of INDEXU (already have 13 licences) it seems I should stick with the devil I know, rather than expand.

As I have been unsatisfied with NICETALK and despite your SUPERB assistance, the script is still not functioning fully I was a bit (understatemet) miffed when this ticket was received this am

    Dear Kate

Please to describe your problems with nicetalk messenger.

    Thanks,

    Fahrul.

So really, the issue is now, can we get this fixed or not?
If not (and soon) can I approach you for a refund please?

    Sincerely

    DeLaRey

If I cant get it to work today you can absolutely have a refund. I'm working on it right now and I THINK I've determined the issue, but I won't know for a while.

I'll keep you and Kate updated.

The offline messages are now working.

The issue was the database table nice_talk_config was completely empty. Nicetalk didn't know what to do with the data it was sent because it didn't know where to send it!

As a note and a followup. If one database table is missing some data there may be others which might lead to other issues.

Why did this happen? I have no idea. It's never happened to me before during an install. It could have been a freak thing or someone could have removed the data by accident.
