Rss Feed Images

Why does images in rss feeds not work any more.

Also how does indexu display these images? There must be some css in some templates to display this, just curious exactly how indexu does this.

What does the path to the image say? Copy and paste it here and that will tell me a lot more.

I was a bit tired last night and told you indexuthemes or some reason lol.

The programmers haven't replied yet with a solution. I'll talk to them again on sunday night to check on the progress.

hello ,

i just tested the rss feeds used a link "http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/iraq", that links had images on their news. then i tested it, all of images shown on the indexu's index.

i think the problems came from original rss server.,

could you give me some urls that you have tested but still got the errors?

Indexu Deluxe Demo is an exaple of the feed images not working.

please recheck Indexu Deluxe Demo. There is no code edited, i just added a new rss feed block template on themes/kosmos/index.html that used rss url : Yahoo! News: Business.

there is no bug on rss feed.

Lets say i wanted to create content in wordpress and then pull it in through indexu in rss.

What would i have to do to the content to make the rss parser to pull the image through with the text?

Just interested how the parser determines this.

That has nothing to do with this topic. The parser pulls the feed, if there's an image as part of the post then it should pull it. To understand exactly how it works you'd need to read the code, on _most_ of my own sites I've killed the rss feeds because I'm not interested in them.

The whole reason i started this thread was when i discovered that images wouldnt display from wordpress posts. then looked around and the demos did the same thing.

Ok , ill agree i dont like pulling rss from other sites , what i want to do is pull content from my wordpress that i create, but with the images.

Rss feeds from the wordpress installation work but images arent pulling

The demos don't take their feeds from wordpress, they take them from searchengine watch and yahoo.

In checking out a google feed, there is no actual HTML markup

Does the wordpress feed work like that?

I see the RSS feed is working in the urls but any idea why images arent being pulled down any more?

Could it be these feeds have changed ?

Take a look at the indexu demo its still the same ,
