Default Moving hosts

I've checked and can't find a similar problem posted here.

I'm moving hosts. Naturally, I want to set up my sites prior to changing the DNS.

I'm getting an error on my IndexU license installation on the new host, presumably because I'm trying to install the same license on 2 servers?

I am supposing I could use one of my other available licenses and then just use this one for another installation at some point.

Edited to add: Yes, that was the problem and a different license fixed it.

Bruce or someone else at NC - maybe people would like to know what to do in this situation if they only have 1 license to use.

You can use each license on one domain only but you can always change it to a different domain.

As soon as you use the key on a different domain or sub-domain the first one will be cancelled and will give error message of Invalid License and it starts working on the new domain, in fact the client area simply reissues the license.

IndexU doesn’t offer a temporary key for testing, so for test purpose I use a temporary html file for my landing page, not connected to my databse or IndexU directory;
http:// www. domain.com/index.html

and while testing my Nicecoder site I will run the database and directory on something like;
http:// www. domain.com/test.html

then when all tests passed then I will rename the test.html file to index.html

Put the key on the new host, the site will still work on the old host but you would not be able to use the admin panel.

Then in the client area simply reissue the license so it can work on the new host.
