Import Categories from version 5.4 to v 1.4.2

How can I export all categories from one indexu site that uses version 5.4 to a new indexu site that uses version 1.4.2? I have tried to export categories through admin panel and import them to new site but it will not work. I only need the stracture. Will it work if done through phpmyadmin?

Your best bet is to do it through phpMyAdmin. I remember Dody saying he removed the CSV import / export from the admin panel.
