There doesn't appear to be a check for no items against the following:
Hot Listings, Top Rated and Editor Pick.
If there are no items against the above an error message is issued.

If you happen to see an error it's most likely because you have no links in your directory. Add a few and visit one of those links and the errors should go away.
The errors exist because IndexU expects to have listings, and you don't have any.
