Have you ever use these text link code with IndexU?

Hi everybody,

I just try to install ads code from some of text link advertise sites:

Backlinks.com: Buy and Sell Text Links

Is there anybody also publish text ads from these sites and able to active their ads code corectly with IndexU both 5.4 and DX?

I already ask their staff and one of backlinks.com staff inform me that their code wull not work with the php site using any type of cache system or something like that.

So, I would like to ask for opinion of IndexU staff here or anybody who have this same problem or please advice me some if you can do it properly.

IndexU does do caching, but I've also installed textlinkads on a customers site before.

It's no different than using a php include really.

Could you please guide me how to active them?

For text-link-ads.com code, I put the code in index.html under "kosmos"
and put local_xxxx.xml under Root of the site with 666 CHMOD, is it correct?

I try this step but the code seem inactive and show error on page.
Also try move local_xxxx.xml to /kosmos, same location as index.html I put code, but still fail.

Do I have to edit something more?
EX: when I try to use their code with html file, I need to put some line more in .htaccess.

I have no idea what local_xxxx.xml is for. When I set up the customers textlinkads it was strictly a piece of code, unless they had already uploaded this xml file.

The code WILL remain inactive for a few days because the textlinkads bot needs to spider your site. Simply place the code, and wait up to 48 hours. Yes it's annoying, but that's the way they work.

You should not need to do anything more than you've already done.
