just checked my recently upgraded site and i recived the following

HACKED By SenqRonize ! For Türkiye... / functi0n@msn.com
Fatal error: Call to undefined function addfilter() in /home/essext/public_html/index.php on line 58

Actually reinstalled from fresh, then copied the database and themes etc.

Wouldnt of thought it was a pemission setting,

checked the recently modified dates and application.php was the only file in the root that was modified. The file has 777 permisions which is correct.

Looks like some how the hacker has managed to clear out the file and insert

Not sure where to check in my Cpannel, looked in my "Latest Visitors" area and the only suspect i can find is

Doesnt look like any other damage so im clearing the file "again" and reinstalling.

Does application.php have to be 777?

And how do these people write to 777 files remotely, obviouslly they are able to be written to but how is it done?

Set the file permissions to 666
