error: when selecting contact link owner

this is the message i receive when selecting the option to contact the link owner. please help. thanks!

Need a little more detail than that.
I assume you are on the details page and clicking on the link sendmail.php?lid=?
If the rest of your site is working properly I see no reason why the sendmail page would produce a 500 error. But please clarify where/what page you are on.

the error is occurring when adding a link via the admin console. there is an option there to contact the link owner.

That doesn't really make sense.
Just to clarify, you go to the admin panel - Links - Add. Then you fill out the form to add a new listing and when you add anything into the Email field you get a 500 error after clicking "add new link"?

i guess the problem could be that i do not enter an email address..lol
guess that answered it

no, it won't fetch the email address. It must be manually entered.
