Encoding iso-8859-1 to utf-8

Hi,

I updated indexu 5.4 to DELUXE 1.4.
indexu 5.4 used iso-8859-1 as charset an the mySql db charset is latin1.

DELUXE 1.4 use utf-8.
So every old entry can't disply german special chars like äöü.

So i chaned the encoding at the admin panel to iso-8859-1. Now all old entries look fine
but the template and the rss generator cant display öäü now.

How can I fix it?
