Cron and .sh files

Ok i have never used the cron area of deluxe and i need to add a .sh script.

Is it possible to run .sh from the indexu cron backend?

I don't know if it would work, but you should add the command to your crontab on your server since it's not an IndexU command. IndexU still requires that you add runcron.php to crontab anyways.
