    Default Conversion success (I think)

Hasn't been easy but I think I have managed to convert a small niche directory to Indexu.

Took lots of time to get the Facing template tweaked but the hard work was getting all the Links table fields right.

Getting close to moving my test (usxx.net) space to the production.

Would like to see the date and updated date issue when importing the links table.

Back to testing -- next one should be much easier.

I am missing several files for the facing template (I am sure I didn't delete them after install). they are all of the form xxxxx_link_rows.html.

You can have the date added when you import links, but you must enter the date. If you leave it blank it will appear as 0000-00-00. If you are using the excel spreadsheet simply enter a date in the date field, copy it, select all fields below it and paste.

All files should be there for the Facing template. It's not that you would have deleted them, it's more likely that they were not extracted or uploaded.

Pardon my arguing with the expert but...

I dumped (csv) the existing links data from the production (phpweby script). Created spreadsheet (Open office). Moved the data from that dump into the proper columns (Indexu fields ordered as in the database links fields). This included adding the dates resources were added in the date and updated columns in the yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss format. Saved the data as a tab delimited csv file. I imported this file via the admin function. The dates were all entered in the database as 0000-00-00 00:00:00 (which appears to be the default value for those fields). I tried this several times, checking closely with the same result.

Yes the template files were all there. I just had to identify and hand upload the missing ones. Must have been mr. murphy paying a little visit.

Interesting, I'll test the date format the next time I'm uploading a database (which is soon). Something could have changed, but it shouldn't have.

I resolved by chasing my tail till I figured something out.

    1. Got the dates like needed in csv file.
    2. Changed data type for those fields to text.
    3. Uploaded via phpmyadmin.
    4. Changed data type to datetime.

Everything seems to be functioning as it should. I am sometimes like a 'bull at a gate post' as in if I hit it hard enough and often enough it has to fall.
