4 questions

Hi,

I got 4 questions :

1/ may I rename the /admin directory (so as to increase the security level) without collateral damages ?

2/ the spider : I guess it only tests the directory links (table idx_link) and not all links present on our pages (I would not like to have this spider test my ads and get me banned from AdSense)

3/ is it possible without modifying the script to get some image or text displayed on only one page of a category : e.g. I'd like to display a text on page 2 of category "software", but not on page 1.
I think about adding some lines to browse.html that could resemble :
<%if $cat_name=software%|$current_page=2%> and so on.

4/ is it possible without modifying the script to get some image or text displayed on the page of a specific tag, by adding some lines to browsetag.html : e.g. display some advice on car repairing on the "garages" tag page.

1) Yes you can. But instead of renaming it I would simply password protect it with .htpasswd

2) The spider only tests links in idx_link. It does not spider anything else including ads or rss feeds

3) It's possible to add the image but I've never tried, but you must modify the script to do it. "modify" can mean adding something as simple as a line of code like you gave an example of. No you will not have to program a new function, but you would need to add some code.

4) You should be able to do this, but again I've never tried. It should be possible using an if statement. Again, you would need to add some code like you have in #3 but you would not need to edit the script itself.

Maybe I misunderstood but each category in the backend has a "content" where you can put code.

Yes, but that would put it on every page, you could use the if statement there but that's still "adding code".
