Totally Mind Boggled
After stuggling for death {i am a newbie at php&mySQL} i managed to set up the backend with a new field (foto) so that kind folks of the world may be able to upload their image, which brings us to issu #1
1> Someone told me that i would have to do it in my setup, what file exactly do i have to specify the type of format, gif, jpg, ect.
Now issue number two, when trying to post a new site as a user it gives me the following:
Add your site
Sorry, you can't add your website here. Please visit a proper category, then click "List your Site"
or when i try to modify my site as a user it give me this
Update your Site
Enter your resource ID Enter <<<WHAT THE HECK IS THIS SUPPOSE TO MEAN
Enter unique keyword of your resource Search <<<<OR THIS
PLEASE HELP! VISIT http://www.vzccorp.com/index.php and after being disgusted with the site, tell me what should i modify, and don't let the spanish words freak you out, it's only translated

Hi
Sorry can't help with question 1
Question 2
I visited your site - When I clicked on the category - I note I have to log in first (if you what traffic this is not a good idea as it will put off 99.99% of visitors)
Advise - make the categories open to the public
you can do this in the "Edit Category" section under "Registered users only" click on "no"
in the same section - What have you set "Permission" too? good idea to set it to "requires editor approval" this will allow people to add sites and then you will need to approve before they show.
Questions 3
There are 2 bits of information a site owner needs to modify the site - their password and resourse id - both provided on the approval email
(I think english is a second language to dody (the developer) so you may need to change some of the wording to make it clear - you can do this in the html templates
In addition - I note your page title still shows indexu - don't forget to change the titles in titles.inc.php file
hope this has helped
Regards

I totally agree
I agree totally with SHOPHERE,
Not only will you not get visitors adding content to your site, Search Engines will not be able to index anything which is behind password protection.
The Resource ID is simpley the link number, for example... when you add a link it will be added to the database with a certain number... You can look at the Resource ID by going into the admin and viewing links.
Users can also request their ID via the email address they signed up with.
In regards to your photo, You could set it up via Alter Database, in your Admin Section..... and you should be able to alter what image types are allowed under the SETUP section of the Admin.
Hope this points you in the right direction
