Is the "review" feature an essential feature for INDEXU at your website?

it is definetly essential..... at least to me..

That is one of the main reasons why i bought the software...

I considered removing it, however my visitors use it, so I would say it is essential.

Most reviews are faked, but withthe time and a lot of visitors you get some real results - it is like the votes, but more save.

By the way, on my site every one can send a review without register.

I think reviews are not an essential feature for Indexu or any other link portal software. It makes your db and site more slowely and has no real added value.

Furthermore I don't think that users often use this feature beside promoting their own listed website. So users can't rely on theses statements.
Reviews and rating are basically the same instrument to give sites a ranking with the difference that users rate more often caus it's not much time consuming.

I completely removed this feature. But of course it's up to every webmaster. Reviews make sense when you list products or something else which costs money. But links are for free. Who does not klick on a link due to an bad review?

Actually, I like the review thing, I think it add value to my directory. I also think that it is not use properly by the application, users should have the option to see all the reviews for a given category, sites with good review would be rewarded site with bad reviews penalize.
I also think that webmaster should have the ability to reply to reviews, since a user can only post one review for a given link the link owner can reply/post only once.

many indexing software lack this feature.... of course you can get a proffesional applilcation but you will have to pay hundreds of dollars for it....
