Exclamation Request for Assistance: Custom programming!

Hi, I'm one of the webmasters who has chosen to try to implement Indexu together with vBulletin 3.0 (now RC3) and I can't roll out Indexu until I can get it to work using vB3's member database in the same way Dody's vB2.3.0 patch did.

I've tried but have been unsuccessful at adapting Dody's 2.3.0 patch to work with vB3.0. Has anyone here done that or do you believe you CAN do it for a reasonable programming fee? If so, please contact me ASAP.

I've concluded that hacking the PHP code at that level is beyond my present capacity. :confused

Well, I suppose I should be happy to know Indexu 4.0 will be released soon, but when I consider the number of hours I've already spent in installing, tailoring, cleaning up and customizing Indexu31, there's NO WAY I'm planning to invest additional time and energy to upgrade to a new version of the product any time soon unless the new version also prints money in $100 dollar denominations! This has been far too costly and painful an exercise for me to want to voluntarily repeat it right away.

Which reminds me, in addition to cleaning up the indexu templates to remove all the Anime ads and banners and the odd colors, I also took time to go through msg.php very carefully and edit it. As a result, I now have a completely edited and cleaned-up version of msg.php that reads like an American English speaker wrote it rather than being written in what can best be described as ESL English. If anyone's interested, I'd be happy to share my edited version of msg.php for a one-time fee of say, $15...

I'm sad to say that as it stands right now, without the vb3 integration in place my highly cleaned up version of indexu may never see the light of day. I've decided I'm unwilling to ever roll it out if I can't convince it to share its member database with vb3. IMO, requiring two logins from the average net user on one web site is totally unacceptable and I will not subject my visitors to that!

But thanks for the tip about 4.0 anyway. Sigh....
