Default Question about the use of Sessions in new version

I am somewhat concerned about the use of sessions in the new version of indexu. It has been my experience (mainly with BBS type programs) that Google and inktomi won’t spider URLs that use session codes. I note with phpbb they have a hack to specifically address this problem.

Anybody have any thoughts on this?

You do not need to afraid of this. Indexu using cookie and database session, not url based.

I don't think so. vBulletin is one case that use session id in url (as well as database too), but they're pretty good getting listed in google.

I have a vBulliten that you can see in my signature. Google doesn’t spider the individual threads and the individual threads don't appear in the google index. I had a phpBB at one time I added the modification I linked to above. Every thread in that forum made its way into the google index.
