Problem With Install.php

I tried to install index u on my server and I can not get past the install.php page, when I fill all of the proper information out and click configure nothing happens. It stays on the install.php screen without advancing to the next step in the installation process. Could someone tell me what is going on?

Try to upload the files again and start over again.

Sometimes it is enough for one file to become corrupted due to a 'bumpy' connection.

Please let us know the outcome.

It did not work. What should I try next. Your install.php file is not working for me. I am thinking about getting a refund since this script is not installing like it should.

I'm sure the script works as I have installed it on hundreds of customers. Indexu has many members as well as sample sites to validate that the script works.

This problem is most likely from the end user. Indexu offers an installation kit if you have problems.

I suggest you read the installation instructions again.
A few things to do is create a database for your site. Chmod all your files correctly.

If you're still having problems I suggest you purchase that installation help.

I have done everything you have said. I am trying to do this on an ev1server would that be the problem?

I have a mysql database already made. Are there any SQL commands that I can enter to create the tables, columns and rows so I can isntall script manually?

I'm having the exact same problem as everyone else here with install.php. The script is not populating application.php nor is it creating the tables in MySQL automatically. It does nothing except re-load the page and clear the fields.

When I manually configure application.php I get a partial load of the home page, but it's filled with PHP errors due to the fact that the database tables have not been created.

I am running Windows 2K Advanced Server, IIS 5.0, PHP 4.3.6, & MySQL 4.0.18.

You should set "register_globals = on" in PHP.INI . It is off by default .

Sorry I do not post how to fix this problem before.
I found the host's php.ini is very strict. So I suggest them to change to:

register_globals = on ---> if it's off, you won't able to process the form
error_reporting = 2039 ---> prevent warning message displayed

I have the same problem. I contacted my host and they are unsure whether they will turn register_globals on, because it will affect everyone on the server. Is there a work around to setting register_globals = on ? Let me know what to do!

HELP! I've posted to two threads and no response. My host turned register_globals on, now I get errors below. It looks like 17 tables were created but I can't get to the admin or the index page.
