Question Is it possible to share same database and backend on seperate domains/websites?

It would be nice for advertisers to be on multiple directories with one submission. Has anyone experimented with this?

just use the same database connection details you have on site 1 on site 2 everything will be identical.
Main IndexU sites : | Campsite Directory | Tourist Guide | Places2B | AfterDirectory <-- Half price submission using coupon DP50 (from just $11 premium, and $10 basic permanent )

As inspireme said, set up one IndexU as your "main" copy, and on all subsequent copies simply use the database details of the "main" copy.

Some hosts won't let you access databases across domains, so you may find this to be an issue.

    Question

Great, that worked fine. However, I needed to disable the mod-rewrite for all the other domains as it was causing an error when browsing listings from the main website.

Is there another way to generate unique urls for the other domains besides the mod-rewrite?

Any other suggestions on how to keep link pages from beeing viewed as duplicates by google?

Not that I can think of other than mod_rewrite and added text to the other sites for things like category descriptions, titles etc
