Is it possible to move Main Category into a New Category?

I have already a regional category structure on my indexu site (main categories are USA, Europe, Asia, etc...). I would like to create a new Main Category and call it "ABC Category" and make the previus main categories become subcategories). Is it possible to make this transfer?

Example:

ABC Category {Main Category}
USA, Europe, Asia {Sub Categories - These are currently Main Categories}

Create the new category, then update category paths, then edit the old category and change it's parent.
