For those who wish to know a little more about PHPAds New but cant wade through their very large and complex manuals, please find attached the instructions in a much simplified form.

If you have any furhter questions on the use of this software of any other ad management query, please post your details in this forum.

How well does phpAdsNew works with indexu?

Take a look at http://www.high-street-shopping-online.co.uk

All banners are served via PHP ads new via the I-Frame invocation with a re-fresh of 60 seconds on the top of page banners and category banners and a re-fresh of 90 seconds for the skyscrapers

That will give you an idea how easy it is to intergrate PHPAds new with Index U

Does it work with all browsers?

I have tested with the following browsers

IE 5 through 6
Opera
Mozilla
Netscape 4 through 7

within the invocation code produced an Netscape compatable I/Layer is produced and it work fine on these browsers

i have been using this on my site the best way to intergrate this, is to use the <%content%> tag where you want the banner then in the admin section of indexu goto the catagorey and add the benner code in the content feild. this way you can charge to put banners in certin cat's

I use PHPadsnew as a central banner program for about 7 of my personal sites. I have used this script for about 2 years and it is absolutly the best for the buck!

Hi! I would like to ask for some help. I installed phpadsnew tru Fantastico. I followed your instruction from Setting up zones. When i generate the code, this is what comes up.

the instructions were written years ago, since then indexU has changed a lot, as im sure phpadsnew has also... the generation code you got could be put into the template much the same way though ...

use
<%php%>

<%/php%>

insread of <?php //the code ?> when putting php within smarty template.
