    Default PHP Ads New Intergrated with IndexU 3-1

    Anyone wishing to look at how PHP Ads new can easily be intergrated into IndexU 3-1 please visit High Street Shopping Online UK .

    I have today commenced intergrating skyscrpaer banners of the size 120 x 600 into browse and search replacing the current flash advert.

    These banners have been set up using PHPAds New creating a zone called Skyscrpaers and using the invocation code for IFrames with a refresh rate of 60 seconds with the zone properties setting the target frame as _blank allowing the banners to open in a new window.

    This gives a good example of just how easy these banners are to incorporate and all the banners appearing here at the moment are of the javascript variety posting the banner information as HTML into PHPAds New.

    First I must say this is GREAT!
    About IFrame, does it only support IE broweser? How is the result in opera and mozilla. Forgive me if I'm wrong.

    Default phpadsnew

    ai,

    i have the following problem:

    How to integrate variable javascript banners, which have no real fixed size like this: (?)

    <!-- BEGINN Rossmann 0.8 Top-Angebote Skript -->
    <IMG SRC="http://www.zanox-affiliate.de/ppv/?293453C358009384" ALIGN=bottom BORDER=0 HSPACE=1><script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.rossmann.de/partner/programm/zanox/rossmann_product_angebote.js"></script>
    <script language="Javascript">rossmann_product_angebote("h ttp://www.zanox-affiliate.de/ppc/bin/z_ct_ppc.dll?293453C358009384&ULP=")</script>
    <!-- ENDE des zanox-affiliate HTML-Code -->

    Very important is, that I only can use iframes or php to display the banner, because with a javascript code the tracking won't work.

    Feel free to test the code on your site and tell me how to integrate

    Dody:
    Iframes with all IE from V3, Netscape starts with V6 and Opera I don't know...
    But I think the biggest problem is still tzhe most hated brwoser Netscape 4.x

    Greetings
    Frank

    Hi dody,

    The I/Frame function does not only support the the IE browser but the invocation code also includes a netscape compatable I layer.

    I have tested this invocation code with a range of browsers including Mozilla, Netscape, Opera and IE and the frames invocation work fine across all them browsers with no problems with the refresh option.

    I attach a sample of the I/Frames invocation code.

    Default Banner Code as given above

    Hi Frank,

    Here is a sample of one of my affiliate banner codes as is currently runing on PHPAds new of my site at High Street Shopping Online UK within the pages browse.html, search.htm, power_search_result.html, google_search.html. These are non targeted banners, I have set just one zone up called Skycrapers and cut and paste the invocation code into them pages simply by replacing the Flash Banner Code with my invocation code.

    <!--START MERCHANT:Mexicana.co.uk. from affiliatewindow.com.-->
    <script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.awin1.com/awshow.php?mid=41&gid=3987&aid=18709"></script>
    <noscript><iframe src="http://www.awin1.com/awshow.php?mid=41&gid=3987&aid=18709&iframe=1" width=120 height=600 frameborder=0 border=0 scrolling=no marginheight=0 marginwidth=0> </iframe></noscript>
    <!--END MERCHANT:Mexicana.co.uk from affiliatewindow.com-->

    As you can see, this is not too dis-similar to your affiliate code. Producing the I/Frames invocation code in PHPAds New a sample of which I have included above your affiliate link will be tracked perfectly.

    I have tested this out on a full frange of browsers from Netscape 4 through to Netscape 7, Mozilla, Opera, and IE and this works across all them browsers with no problems.

    The only thing you have to do, when posing the banner into PHPAds New is insert the banner as an HTML banner within PHPAds New for this to work correctly.

    Default Franks Banner

    There does appear to be extra javascript that causes the banner to crash or fail to display properly under the normal delivery options of PHP Ads New.

    It appears the only successful delivery method is direct delivery via php.

    Product banners now available to view at http://www.highstreetshoppingonline.co.uk

    These banners are all Javascript banners from the Tradedoubler network and have been placed into PHPAds New as HTML banners. I have created two zones, Footer 1 and Footer 2 and set the invocation code to javascript and stated not to show a banner from the same campaign on the same page.

    When creating a campaign I allocate that campaign to both zones Footer 1 and Footer 2

    By placing this in the footer, my viewers get to view upto 2 products across every page visited. These are non targeted.

    Sometime in the next week I will start creating my targeted zones and will post details here accordingly.

    Markbrooks, the ads is not a banner. Does phpadsnew can have text ads instead of image?. It would be great!

    Default PHPAds New Text Ads Feature

    Hi Dody,

    You are correct, although the products on my site are lines of javascript entered via the html banner method, PHPAds new easily incorporates text ads simply by selecting banner type as text ad. If you find this option is not available to you, please re-check your PHPAds New Settings selecting banner settings, and tick all check boxes allowing every type of banner to be included.

    As yet I have not implemented this feature, but it is there and works just like any other banner delivery.

    I will test this feature out, for the determination of zone sizes etc.

    For the time being, I attach a txt file containing the HTML of the webpage within PHPAds New allowing for text ad entry.

    Simply rename the file HTML and preview in your browser.

    I went to the site above and it is dead...
    I have intergrated the phpadsnew on my site and it works great with indexu. I have enabled around 4-5 zones per page(no conflicts). You can intergrate a text banner, pop ups floating dhtml and all that. The set up with phpadsnew takes a bit setting up all the zones and stuff but you will be blown away how robust the program is...

    It works in Netscape and IE..

    Unfortunatly, my hosting company Namehog.net has given me many problems due to a broken server. I transfered to a new host yesterday and I am just waiting for the DNS Tags to be picked up.

    This should be sometime in the next 24 hours where all will be set up once more.

    I have tested PHPAds New with Opera, Mozilla, Netscape, and IE and found it to work across all those with all functions.

    Just as soon as I go back online and have it up running I will post details here.

    I will also post detials for a great hosing package that I found yesterday, which for £49.99 a year about $80 a year, you will get 9GB storage, 10 sub domains, 6gb transfer per month and 20MYSQL databases.

    lordkinjo, if you want to incorporate, floating DHTML banners, pop ups or pop unders, the best way to incorporate these are in the are in your indexu cat_header or cat_footer fields allowing you very specific targeted pop ups and pop unders or floating banners.

    The only problem with this it would double or treble the number of zones you use as you wont want a pop up or pop under on every page visit made by a user, that would be a sure fire way that users wont call back to your site.

    So for example

    Zone 1 your banner inserted into your cat_content field
    Zone 2 your pop up or pop under into your cat_footer field
    Zone 3 your DHTML into your cat_header field

    I understand... Thats why i don't have pop up or floating dhtml...I was just stating that it had it in the program. Some peps don't know what it can do.

    Good luck on your site and I hope your new hosting company works out for you... After years of ****ing around with hosting companies, I got my own dedicated server. Its good to be king.

    Example of PHPAds new pop up / pop under function now available to view at

    http://www.highstreetshoppingonline....browse-20.html
    or
    http://www.highstreetshoppingonline....wse.php?cat=20

    This is a pop under set to open on page exit and close after 60 seconds.

    And yes, browse-20.html, fooling the server via a mods re-write in .htaccess file by converting the browse.php?cat=xx into browse-xx.html
