Default "The page cannot be found" error after clicking any category

Every time I click on any category or subcategory that I added, it gives "The page cannot be found" error. Could anyone give me advice how to fix this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    what version?

if v3.2, try running Update Category Path ( or something like that ) in the admin control panel.

what version of INDEXU are you using?

if v3.2, do you have a good .htaccess file in your INDEXU root directory???

Yes I use 3.2. How do I know that .htaccess file is good. I just uploaded it again but no change.

you should be able to view files with your host's control panel. or you can "view" files with your FTP program. or some text editors can open files on the server for viewing and editing.

Make sure you can see the .htaccess file in the root directory.

it maybe that you host does not support the apache mod_rewrite feature or has it turned off.

you may want to ask them.

or you can try uploading the non-mod_rewrite version. there are instructions for that in the zip file. if you upload it and that runs, then it is a problem with the mod_rewrite feature or the .htaccess file.

still wouldn't hurt to ask their technical folks, just to eliminate that possibility.

I see on their website that:
    Apache Modules:
    o Rewrite

so, I would try uploading the the non-mod_rewrite version. it is only a couple of files.

I have the same problem with my indexu5.0 version.
What should I do now? I can not find non-mod_rewrite version in the 5.0 .zip?

    thank you

Thanks, now I got 2 more problems.

A.My hosting told me they DO support this function of mod-rewrite module, however, it just does not work so far and they are figuring it out but still no answer.
My hosting asks me to see if there is any document of the mod-rewrite module or .htaccess that indexu5.0 needs that my hosting may need to figure out why their hosting does not support the indexu5.0?
They are sure they do support mod-rewrite module.
my website is www.0944.net, you may want to check it out?

B.And I try to find another hosting company to see if they can support indexu5.0 without any problems, but seems the license key has not working any more due to I've installed it on the first host?
So what if I want to swich the indexu5.0 scripts to my new hosting or new domain name, how should I do?

By the way, I tried to "obtain your license key for Free 7 Days Trial" and the page does not give me any clue how to get the indexu for a free 7 days trial?

    thank you.
