    Default NewsLetter Mailing and Timers

    Hi,

Is any way to set a timer between email or to define how many emails will be sent in an hour?

I face problem with the server I can send certain numbers of email in an hour

That's a great question. Unfortunately there is no timer that I am aware of. I checked the code quickly and do not see anything about throttling.

What should happen on most servers is that your emails are submitted to the server and then queued for sending your limit each hour/day.

I will make sure that the programmer checks into this as this is a feature that should be added.

the email function is very basic. I'd suggest to export the data into other mailing scripts.

PilotGroup has a good news letter script ( http://www.newsletter.pro/ ). Its not free, but I purchased a copy of it about a year ago and LOVE the features in it. VERY robust and friendly to use

Commercial list manager is not cheap. The free one is www.phplist.com

I agree Dody that some of them can be expensive. PilotGroup's Newsletter is not cheap at all... But I firmly believe you get what you pay for

I've never used PHPList before, and I'm sure its a great alternative if purchasing a commercial script isn't possible
