IndexU 5.x admin panel update

The IndexU 5.x admin panel update offers users some nice additions that IndexU Deluxe users already have and one that they don’t!

Benefits
A new menu called “New Tools” with the following tools installed

1) New Sitemap. This will generate the new sitemap that IndexU Deluxe v1.1 is now using. This sitemap automatically pings Google, Ask, Yahoo and Live Search

2) Old Sitemap. This will generate the standard IndexU sitemap for you.

3) Massedit. This is a tool to mass edit your links and change their categories. Useful if you have imported a database or DMOZ slice and want to move things around

4) Fetch Meta. An excellent tool that will fetch the current meta descriptio, keywords and title from the websites listed in your directory and insert them into the database!

5) Update All Links. This tool updates your link counts. This tool is very useful for sites with very large link counts as it is designed so that it will not timeout.

6) Spam Links. This link will show you any listings that were flagged as spam when they were submitted. This is a function that is hiding in the admin panel, this link simply makes it easier to see this listings.

This download is only for Indexusupport paid members and has only been tested for use with IndexU 5.4x.

Yes, fine! One tip - after uploading you need to create manually sitemap.xml.gz - sitemap7.xml.gz files in /sitemap/ directory.
If you need to update 5-10-20 websites, much more better to create those files in a package before uploading.

Not working for me (INDEXU 5.4.1)
Get an error:

After creating 404.html no error message at all - simply nothing happends.

Bruceper, there is NO FILE fetch_meta_form.html in downloaded package!

You do not need to create the sitemaps, it should be done automatically as long as the /sitemap/ directory is writeable. BUT another user found a bug with the sitemap script and it could have come along for a ride with this addon. I'll know more about that later tonight.

That means your 404.html cannot be found, upload it to your themes directory.

The fetch_meta_form.html is now in the archive, that should solve the 404 issue (please download it again). However you can't just create a 404 file, you need to upload the one from the IndexU zip archive.

And now that the fetch_meta_form.html file is there the addon should work as it is supposed to.

But massedit.php still isn`t.

The requested URL /admin/massedit.php was not found on this server.

And fetch_meta_form.html isn`t working (new, absolutely clean installation)

Apparently lately I suck at packaging mods. I've added massedit.php (the files it requires were already there).

As for fetch meta not working I guess I didn't pay enough attention to it. It does require a few files that are part of IndexU Deluxe. I've removed the fetch meta feature from this tool.

I've also added empty copies of the sitemap files and changed the instructions to indicate that they should be writeable (666 or 777)
