Talking Indexu 4 ???? or Indexu PPC?

    Hello there everyone!
Ihear that some one is releasing the INDEXU 4 soon. Well I know I maybe too late make any suggestions but, please let me get my pain out of my chest.

I think majority of the indexu users will agree that this is a excellent software - and also agree that they have paid between $70 for very old ones - $100+ for the newest ones. Hopefully when indexu is released soon it'll take our spending to $150+ or $50 at least for upgrade.

So why are we spending this amount for a script that all it does is showing some links by getting data from external databse (i.e GOOGLE and DOMZ)? Incidently, Nither DOMZ or GOOGLE actually pays us any commisions for showing thir links.

Oh yes I almost forgot that INDEXU itself has it's own database. You signup and you link will be added to list of links.

OK People, If you want all of that has to offer by INDEXU and even better features there three different script comes in to mind.
Here some of the features they all offers:

    - Amazon API
    - Goggle API
    - Feeds from any XML feeders on anysite (currently come with 20 built in.
    - Built in Forums
    - Good Mailing List
    - Download & Upload Directory (Like cNet Download.com)
    - Web Directory
    - Unlimited Catregories & Links (Never Crashes)
    - Built in eCommerce Cart Systems
    - 1000 of Modules available on the net (80% of the FREE)
    - Over 400 Advertising & PPC modules (all free)

So people Guess what.... The bloody whole script is FREE.

For sake of my good friend INDEXU I won't name it here. But please whoever at NICECODERS looking at this please consider this very seriously:

    1. Modify indexu to have Pay Per Click indexing systems, so that we can recope the money we have spent.

    2. Add a payment gateway systems so that we can allow our advertisers to make payment for their links.

    3. I know you are adding AMAZON API but make sure it supports all amazon localize countries. Currently Amazon only have API's for US/Canada, UK, Germany.

    4. Instead of populating empty pages from google re****s why not replace it with DOMZ or Alatvista, then create a module for Googles ADWORD. In this way we can have lots of links and at the same time by adding Googles Adword we can mkae little bit of extra money.

Rest of these suggestions, you can make it as modules and sell them individually ( if you wanted to). These modules are extra to make site little bit sticky and for promotional reasons.

    1. Shopping Cart
    2. Forums
    3. Chat
    4. Homepage Creator (must include our banners and advertising links)
    5.FFA pages
    6. Site Submission
    7.Download & Upload
    9.Picture Gallery
    10. Music/Clips Database

That was not a condition imposed on your original post. Let us know if decide to share.

Having used Links scripts for the past 4+ years, I would certainly be interested in looking at any Links-type script with the features you descrribe. I do not see any free script on either Hotscripts or php.resources that has those particular features (or any paid scripts for that matter).

Have you ever thought of PHP Nuke latest releases? I personaly use it and I think PHP Nuke 1000 Times better than INDEXU, provided if know what you are doing.

There are other come in mind on other plaform:

    MAX PORTAL (ASP)
    INDEXA (ASP)
    ALEZA (ASP)
    POST NUKE (PHP)

If really want to get freeware check it out on http://sourceforge.net
    hope this helps

Please en-light me, what would be the cost of a free application. I can not wait to read your answer.
BTW, there are a lot of (truly) free and low cost Link indexer or directory on HOTSCRIPTS.COM, at least 2 of them (around $50.00) include payment gateway.
As for your script, you have not sold any but you are already lying, are you Russian?

Hold on my friend, I do not sell any script and I am not a programmer either.

Fact of the mattrer is, you download latest version of PHP NUKE system and you compare yourself with INDEXU.

    PHP NUKE Comes with:

Link Indexing, File / Image Sharing, Forum & Message Board, Voting Poll, Amazon API also there many more plug-in you can download FREE from the internet.

How much does it actually cost? Yes you've guessed it!

They are 2 different animals. I have 2 PHPnuke sites, 1 MD-PRO and 1 Mambo site. They are all great in their own way. I purchased INDEXU for one reason it is strictly a links site script. If I wanted a CMS I would look at a NUKE or Mambo alternative, BUT I wanted JUST a links script and was willing to pay for it to get one that did what I wanted it to.

PHPnuke and the others all have a simple Weblinks Module and you can find other mods to enhance the functionality of the Module. But I dont want all the extra features that a full CMS imposes on you.

This script is the best one for the money, IMHO, and I researched this purchase for quite some time.

I do not understand why someone would want to bait someone with an offer for a FREE CMS script, what do you have to really gain from it? They are freely available and have been for years.

In the nutshell if you want a CMS get a CMS, want a links script get INDEXU.

    Regards,
    Valkster

    Zamboozle - PHPnuke
    OneRockford - PHPnuke
    KWIKINC - Mambo
Valk Systems - MD-PRO (Postnuke Fork)

XLWEBLIST - A Links Site Running INDEXU!

    - 1000 of Modules available on the net (80% of the FREE)
Also this is more like 97% FREE!

Question: Why do you want a link script?
Question: Does Indexu help you Extract links?
Question: Does Indexu help you generate income?
Question: If Indexu is an investment, how does Indexu help you recovert it, how will sinking more money into it help you?

The whole point is I/We paid around $99 for this script, but all it does is indexing some links. With other script (i.e PHP Nuke, Post Nuke) you can actually manage all your links prefectly well. And it's even more fatser than indexu even if your database has more than 10,000 links in it.

Talking about price.. .. It's like buying a mini cab that you can drive itself but con not transport commuters. With indexu you can manage links but you can not recope your investment.

To sum up all these questions, I wanted a link script to help promote my own websites in a simple centralized location. I have never purchased a web script in hopes to get rich quick. My most expensive script was probably PHPauction with the stores addon at about $600.00. Then my other auction script GEOauctions Premier cost about $400.00. WebDate cost me about $550.00 with all the modules for it. PHPjobsite was around $280.00. Monster top list was $49.00 (a waste in my opinion now). Vbulletin was $160.00. AbsolutePPC search script was $250.00. I cant think of the others right now. Themes for my main Nuke sites and Mambo have cost me around $400.00.

INDEXU was a measly $99.00. It helps to tie many of the other sites together for me via advertising with PHPadsnew and Banners.

I have some ideas to help promote my XLWEBLIST site through contacts I have made over the years with large site owners. In return they will get free advertising via the banners. I more than likely will not make a dime off this script and never planned to, but the bigger picture for me is down the road. Time will tell.

I feel for the person that purchases a script thinking that people will come from nowhere and start to use it and generate ANY reasonable income. I have a consulting company that does very well given the current economy. My web ventures help me to sell dynamic web content to my clients, this is the single largest factor for me in launching new websites personally, the majority of my clients are awed by what you can do via the web. This is what keeps my web end of the company busy.

I guess I don't know what the point is. You asked me to explain what I hope to accomplish with this script and what I hope to generate money wise from it. This topic started from someone trying to sell everyone on PHPnuke, at least that is what I thought!

I have no problem with the cost of this script. Where did you get that idea from me?
