Default Hot/Top rated sites not showing up

    Hi

I have just made some changes to category names and have noticed that sites in 2nd level sub categories are not showing in hot, top rated and pick pages.

However sites are still showing as hot etc sites when looking at them in browse.php

    I am using v 3.04

Any ideas on how I can fix this

    Thanks
    Mark

Check your category structure: using view hierarcy. Indexu will tell you which category structure is bad. Click the link to assign the correct parentship.

    Thanks for the reply

I have looked in the hierarcy, and I have clearly got a problem, but when I click on it, it takes me to the category page

    The error messages reads

"category name-->WARNING: This node has lost parent at node no :57 (previously undefined)"

node 57 is the correct new parent and previously the category I changed was a parent

I am not to sure what to do next?

    Regards

It will take you to edit category properties page
(categories->view->edit). Change the parent category to correct id.

In most case it because have lost its parent id OR make forever loop structure.

    Dody thanks for the reply

I have checked the parent id and it all looks correct -

I checked the MYSQL database and each category is showing the correct parent id - but when I look at the Hierarchy they have not listed under the new parent code and all have the warning message (as noted above)

The categories I have changed previously did not have a parent ID, but I have now assigned them to one, could this be the problem?

    Regards

Yes, you should assign them to proper parent id. Try to make it as main category first, then you can assign it to cat. you want.
