Default Hacker, restore

Hi
I have some one hacking to one of my sites and deleting the database only, I have a big database and I back it up regularly, problem is for some reason my server wount restore it as it is big (larger than 5 MB).

So what I do is import my cats and links (after I have the link file in smaller chunks)

is there a way to solve this, my host said they cant, the increased the memory allocation (whatever) and did some changes, but no luck

If not, how can I export my user database ( I can only export mailing list) and catagory stats?

And, how can I prevent this hacker? I have a fairly good passwords, and i know he can only access database and some hoe drop it, so where can prevent him from hitting again ( he visits once every 30-45 days)

Thanx

Hani

You should be importing via phpmyadmin, and phpmyadmin has a resume feature for files that time out. A 5MB database is small, I have a few databases that are hundreds of megs in size and one that is topping off at nearly 900MB. They are all backed up automatically every week.

A secure password is at least 10 characters long, contains upper and lower case characters, numbers and symbols. An example password would be Tls(F4i%h#

As a note, change the password immediately.

Additionally, you should disable remote access to mysql.

I would think it's time to find a new host if they said they can't help you import a 5MB file to your database.

You can export links and categories in the IndexU admin panel if that makes it easier. But they way you should go is phpmyadmin.
