:( fatal errors on search.php page

I am having some weird things going on when trying to conduct a search.

Sometimes I can go the my site

http://www.hip-hopdirectory.com and do a search and everything is fine, then sometimes i get this error as seen below:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/rapdirec/public_html/direct1/search.php on line 338

i emptied a few pages from the cache folder for todays date and things appears to be fine. Does the cache folder have a limit or something?

Cause if so, then maybe i need to delete everything in the cache folder.

Currently, I have about 5,800 files in the cache folder.
