Default Emailing administrator when new links are added

How do I enable the email notification in v3.02 so that I receive an email anytime anyone submits a new link? I have all the 'editor' information fixed, but I see nothing about 'administrator'.

Administrator always get email when someone submiting his link. Make sure you set your admin email address correctly.

No, I've gotten lots of links submitted, and no email. And my email address was correct. I also tried a different one, just in case. No email to me.

The emails to the submitter work fine, just the admin doesn't get them..

I have noticed myself that the administrator does not get an email notification. However, if there is an editor assigned for the particular category the link is submitted to, the editor gets a notification email.

Are you using your website email "yourname@yoursite.com"?

If so, try using a different email address, like hotmail or anything else but your site's email .

If that works fine then this problem might be caused by your MX settings in your server. IF you are pointing your MX to a different email provider like everyone.net, you might have this problem.

    Check with your hosting provider.

    Thanks

I tried several email addresses, both on and off the server.

I've no idea what MX settings are, but all my other software emails me properly, and even Indexu emails everyone but me properly.

There's no way I could have been running this website for years, using CGI, PHP, Perl, and several other types of apps, all working fine, including emailers, then Indexu comes along and points out that my settings are wrong.
