Question Easiest way of complete translation?

    Hi

This is my first post as you may notice
I'm very excited about learning how to use IndexU. I am a total newbie. I know some HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and I'm learning (read: trying to learn) PHP.

The question: I want to translate the full script of IndexU to Danish. What is the easiest way to do this?
I'm new at this, so I'm thinking something like translating the entire /Kosmos map? I guess I'm totally wrong.

I already did a complete translation og the english.php from the Admin Cpanel, but as far as I can tell this has nothing to do with a complete translation.

Looking forward to some big grins

If you're done with english.php then you would move on to the individual .html files in the theme you are translating.

Also remember to change the language file name in setting.php to your new language file name.

    Thanks...

How many hours have gone by? I began the translation right away and have been translating for hours now. I have translated all .html files in the theme.

    1. My question is now, am I done? There are 5 folders left: blocks, cp, images, mail and rss.

Do I need to translate anything in any of the above mentioned folders?

    2. When I'm done and need to check the translation, what is the best way to do it?

    1) there is text in four of thse 5 folders, the images folder can be ignored. Mail of course is important as these are the emails that every user receives. rss will be quite simple to convert, cp is the control panel for users and has text in it (not too much) and blocks has quite a bit of text in it.

    2) To check the translation just load it up onto a site and view it.

UPDATE: I DID IT MYSELF, BUT THANKS ANYWAY

Everything is translated and the site is almost working.

I tried editing the setting.php and correcting it to the correct Lang file, the danish instead of the english.

And I did the thing with changing the properties of the correct files to 777.

But I tried so many things to get it to work, that I don't know if I did something that needs to be undone?

Should I delete everything and try to install it again with the new Danish language Template? Or is it possible to correct the errors as shown on the picture?

That error is telling you that files are missing. Place them where they are supposed to and make sure they have the proper permissions.
