    Unhappy Dmoz Extractor Help

    Hi all,

I have just extracted the Top/Sports/Soccer category from dmoz.

Now when I import the new database I get Top/Sports/Soccer on my directory which does not look right as I only want all the sub categories within the Soccer.

Is there anyway I can get rid of the Top/Sports/ so it don't show on my directory?

I know it can be done because I have seen other directories that have used the extractor. I just can't figure out how to do it...

Any tips would be highly apriciated...

I just also noticed the categories are not visible once imported I have to make each one visible by clicking YES when editing a category.

I must be doing something wrong

    Thank you.

What I have done is just edit the category (e.g., Soccer) and move it where I want it. Then I delete the unwanted categories.

    Talking Thanks but...

    Hi,

    Thanks for the tip.

But surely there is an alternative way of doing it without having to edit every category.

What if there was over 1000 categories?
Also having to make every category visible one by one?

Maybe this is the only way but I would like to be sure this is the only way so I stop asking further questions...

    This is what I mean:

I will retry later tonight to edit category by category.

    Thanks for your reply.
