    Default Dmoz extractor

I am trying to use your program but during the installation I get:

    C:\windows\system32\msxml4.dll
Unable to register the dll/ocx: loadlibrary failed; code 1114
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

and when I try to parse the data I get

    Run time error '429'
    ActiveX component can't create object

How can I solve the problem?

actually, the guys from nicecoder responded me and told me how to solve the problem. I don't remember what was the solution, but it had to do with downloading something from microsoft.com. If you search in the forum you'll find it.

    Good luck.

Try to re-run extreme dmoz extractor. If still doesn't work, you need to reinstall extreme dmoz extractor.

This problem occur because of msxml.dll version conflict with your installed version. You need to have the latest one.

    Limitation of trial version:
    - only extract first 1000 records
    - filter function is disable
    - split output file is disable

They have gt link 2 output format. You can use this and import into indexu.

Extreme Dmoz Extractor is designed to enable user to extract full dmoz database file. With this

software you can expect to have all dmoz database extracted, currently 3,8 million web links and

500,000 categories. Although it's designed to extract all database, Extreme Dmoz Extractor also have

filter function that enable you to parse partial database. You can easily get all categories and

links inside a specific categories, such as http://www.dmoz.org/Sports/Baseball/,

    http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/, http://www.dmoz.org/Kids_and_Teens/School_Time/, etc.

Our method is different with http://www.pjltechnology.com/dmoz.htm, instead crawling web pages,

Extreme will read dmoz database file that you have downloaded at http://rdf.dmoz.org. So the progress

    is much faster.

If you use Extreme, you can import data output directly into indexu. If you use www.pjltechnology.com, you need to export into GT Link 2.0 format.

Polo, our software is listed in download.com
You can download from nicecoder.com or download.com, both are pointing the same file.

So if you asking why Extreme is more expensive? The answer is because Extreme is much faster and more advanced. You can split output file into some smaller files, you can arrange output data field, you can extract all database as well as partial data.

Polo, the original download site is here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

There're some files you can select.
MSXML with SDK, or just dll file (.cab)

The one that you downloaded is msxmlcab.exe. It will create a msxml4.cab. You must extract it (not sure why microsoft do this)
This is how to extract .cab file.
    - open command shell and go to folder where msxml4.cab located
    - type:
    Code:
    extract msxml4.cab /E
    You will get 4 files:
    Extracting msxml4.inf
    Extracting msxml4.dll
    Extracting msxml4r.dll
    Extracting msxml4a.dll

Copy/paste to your windows system32 folder.

The easiest way is download .msi file. Just double click it and it will run install itself.
