    Default Category RSS feed?

    I dont see the point in it - all that happens is it created one link to your category... shouldnt this create a list of items IN the category? that would be heaps more useful.

    Could it also be used to show all the other categories inside that category?

    Well i jsut looked at the demo site, and it works how i expected it to, it displays the cotnent inside the category... i dotn know why mine doesnt, this is a really useful feature as it will get you many many links by submitting to rss feed directories, which in turn will provide more links from syndicated sites.

    Just need to get it working!

    even if you have have a look in the West Midlands, it only displays the 2nd listing, and not the first in rss.....

    Would it be worth trying to "revert" i think thats the word they use in the svn, to get the lastest version of that rss.php file?

    Try to install fresh install in other directory and use the same database. Just to make sure everything work.

    I have no problem with category rss here:
    BigfreeGuide :: Wales > Ceredigion

    You may use mod-rewrite in .htaccess

    Dody, i have the same problem on a fresh install on a subdomain - its also a different database, which i upgraded from 5.1 just now. It seems odd im getting this problem but am unable to replicate it on the demo site.

    Problem also on this domain name, which is a seperate install,
    Browse by categories: campsites newquay

    Im sure this some problem i have created though, not being able to replicates on any other site :S

    I feel silly! worked it out. its how my sites is worked, almost every one of my listigns is in 3 categories, drilling down to the locality, so each cateogry as you get deepr is really just filtering results to an area.

    the RSS script searches only parent category, so the rss is onlyw orking on the higher levels of the directory, maybe it would be best to use OR cat1= in the sql query, i will hack mine to do that
