Default Categories - Only allow 1 for Basic - 2 for Premium & 3 for Sponsored Listing HOW???

For the categories, is there a way to ONLY allow 1 for Basic - 2 for Premium & 3 for Sponsored Listing?

is this possible?

I'm also wondering how to Change the Premium & Sponsored (border) I don't really like the Pink Border around the sponsored listing, lol.

you change them under the Premium_row or Sponsored_row files in the themes template....

Someone else might have some ideas on how to assign those requirements to a category but i havent seen it done....

ezykiwi, the link will be displayed in 2nd and 3rd category. There's no other way. You need manually remove 2nd nad 3rd category before approve them.

Ok so when I manually go thru them just remove any extra categories they select if they do, I guess that would work maybe I'll add comment next to signup box on this.

What would stop them from Re-Adding more categories later tho (after I approve there listing)? Will I have to approve that if they try to request another category?

There is no restrictions you can set somehow so this can be automated?

Manually make the add_form page (remove custom_form_field) and build the page manually addign each field.

DOnt add cat1 and cat2.

All listings will now only be able to have 1 category.

Next, ont he modify_form page do a smart if statment to see if the listing is sponsored, if it is show $cat2 and 3

Do the same for premium listings displaying jsut cat2.

Basic listings just display cat1

this means all listings have 1 category, but sponsors can now go into the modify page and add extra categories. You cannot do this on the add page (unless al ot of ajax and javascript) because you dont know if they are sponsored or premium.

Ps.
you have to approve modifications as well.

So what your saying is on the signup page if a user who signed up for a BASIC listing was to select a 2nd or 3rd category THEY WON'T SHOW UP?

But if they were to upgrade to Premium or Sponsored or if they DID signup with a PREMIUM or SPONSORED listing it will show there link in 2nd and or 3rd categories?

no its a bit of a work around, only one category for everybody at the add stage. Sponsors can go to the modify page and choose extra cats.
