Default Can't create backup via admin

    Hi,

My indexu (3.1) works perfectly, apart from one problem...through admin I can not create backup files. When I press "Creat New Backup File" nothing happens.

I can add links, categories and modify all wiothout problems.

    What can be wrong?

    Regards
    Kooks

    Hi,

No, that is not the problem.
The problem is that nothing happens when I press "Create New Backup File"

But the rest of the options in the admin section works.

    Best regards

so, when you click the Backup hyperlink in the Tables section of the Admin Control Panel, you do in fact see the Backup Database screen on the right.

make sure you have created the backup folder and that it is CHMOD to 777.

    Thanks a mill....

That worked...chmod 777. The folder was already there, with older files inside. Don't know why the chmod was different. The function worked fine until a few days ago.

    Anywayz...THANKS!!!

    Best regards

not that it would have necessarily helped me cause I'm not very good when it come to this kind of stuff. But it could possible help someone else trying to figure out what is going on.

But I am happy that it works now...

actually, kooks had initially set it to 777 as he had been creating backups. somehow it got changed from 777 to something else.
