the bigger problem:indexu can't find executable files

1- I tried several times to run indexu 3.1 . on local host server ,but it does not work.
the following message appears :

Sounds like your internal paths of your localhost are wrong...
Indexu needs absolute paths and sometimes it is hard to find on localhosts (windows !).

INDEXU is looking for a file that has a file extension of idf (indexu_exe.idf in this case) in the main INDEXU folder (where browse.php is located). there are actually three of these files. Open the zip file and you will see them and the path they should be located in.

the files just need to exist in the appropriate folders. they do not have any information in them.

Hm, never looked to them - if they are useless, why do we need them ?

I didn't say they were useless, just that they have no information in them.

they are used during the install process as a way to check that certain paths/folders exist.

I have not seen where they are otherwise used by INDEXU.

The error in this case is most likely they are just missing from the folders.
