BIG problem

Hello,

ok, my import will work, slowly but it is working, but now I have the next problem.

I imported some more than 11000 categories, and first I thought all was working fine, but after checking some categories I saw, that in admin and in real page I can't go deeper than third or fourth category deep ?!

If I look to mysql and the category is there:

298005 298003 Belgien

298003 is ok
298005 is gone...

298002 0 Reise & Sport
298003 298002 Restaurant- & Hotelguides
298005 298003 Belgien

Any idea what could be wrong ?

Frank, did you try to import 11,000 categories in one process or did you break it up into smaller bits?

Indexu would not be able to import 11000 categories in one import process unless your Internet connection is 100% perfect and that is very rare (very rare).

You would also need a superfast (fine-tuned) computer........ and have a dedicated server.

Frank, try to break it up into smaller parts the categories and it might work; however, it would take too long for your visitors to browse through all these categories when submitting (or searching) for sites.

I used 8 upload parts and this night I will go to 16.

ah, 16 imports, all text fields with "..." and know it is working - we will see how indexu will work with 1000 visitors / day and 12174 categories

Were you able to use Excel to create the Categories?

Did you use the GT Category import feature to import them?

nop, my first Hostingloosercompany I tested don't support csv import...

I imported all offline, exported it as real sql-file and imported again with mysqlfront.

2 Hours, but it llok great
