try using phpmyadmin to create your backup

well phpmyadmin didnt run very nice either after awhile it gave me an error 500

i finally was able to get a backup through another script and found some very weird lines of code through one of the tables (not an indexu one) which looked liked they were encrypted

im guessing thats what is making both indexu and phmyadmin screw up on

btw esm what hack did you use for the search engine friendly urls on your site, it seems its not the pagination one you posted on your forums

It uses the php path_info variable but it uses my own code to produce the pages, not INDEXU code. I tried doing the same with the INDEXU code but the info is not consistenly generated making standardized tags extremely difficult. Or maybe it was just me...

ah well, hope they make the urls friendly in v4

@esm: would it be ok if I gave your code a try? as im really upset about all this spidering happening at my site but none of them picking up the ?id= links

We can still try the mod_rewrite MOD if you want to...

as for my own code, sure we could try that...

but I will need a few days, as my wife and I are going out of town Friday for Easter weekend. But the first part of next week would work...
