Default Show Pick MOD for MOTM

The current pick page shows the editor picks by category and without pagination. This MOD show the editor picks without categorization and allows pagination and the ability to sort on the title, hits, rating, PR, etc.

    instructions:
    1. upload the html files (show_pick.html and pick_link_rows.html ) to your theme folder (e.g. kosmos)
    2. upload the show_pick.php file to the toplevel INDEXU folder (the folder where the browse.php file is located)
    3. edit at least the header.html and footer.html files in themes folder and cp folder and replace pick.php with show_pick.php.

    additional locations of pick.php
    • rss.php
    • sitemap.php (also in admin folder)
    • sitemap.php (also in admin folder)
    • filter_page_cache.php
    • header.html (also in theme cp folder)
    • footer.html (also in theme cp folder)

It should, I haven't looked at it yet. One question comes to mind though, is this for Deluxe only or will this work in 5.4x as well? I'm sure users would like to know.

MODs for the MOTM are only acceptable for the Deluxe version.

I didn't even look to see if it was compatible. No need to provide MODs for a dead, non-supported, going nowhere version.

but if it wins the MOTM, I'll take a look. I'm sure the HTML would not be compatible.

actually, it is a pretty easy MOD to install and view without affecting your production site.

upload the files as indicated and then point your browser to show_pick.php. you can view it before changing the files in step 3 above.

sorry about the quality of the jpeg. Nicecoder only allow up to 100k files. It shows page 4 sorted descendingly of the editor picks.
