    Exclamation New pagerank problems

Since a few weeks ago, my php error log is full with the following messages:

[17-Aug-2009 18:13:52] PHP Warning: readfile(themes/biology/images/pr///www.google.com/terms_of_service.html). In your email, please send us the <b>entire</b> code displayed below. Please also send us any information you may know about how you are performing your Google searches-- for example, "I'm using the Opera browser on Linux to do searches from home. My Internet access is through a dial-up account I have with the FooCorp ISP." or "I'm using the Konqueror browser on Linux to search from my job at myFoo.com. My machine's IP address is 10.20.30.40, but all of myFoo's web traffic goes through some kind of proxy server whose IP address is 10.11.12.13." (If you don't know any information like this, that's OK. But this kind of information can help us track down problems, so please tell us what you can.)</P><P>We will use all this information to diagnose the problem, and we'll hopefully have you back up and searching with Google again quickly!</P>
<P>Please note that although we read all the email we receive, we are not always able to send a in /srv/www/vhosts/trophort.com/httpdocs/googlepr.php on line 67

Does this indicate that Google blocks retrieval of pagerank data?

How do you have the pagerank update set?? Did you leave it at the default 30 days or have you changed it?

If it's a shared ip, I think other ip user may abuse the pr retrieval as well. Too many request could raise the flag.

It was set to 90 days and I have increased this to 120 days. The latter, however, does not make a difference.

Is it possible that someone abuses the script, ie calls http://.../googlepr.php directly?

It's shared hosting, but there is only one domain on this IP.

I think it is not possible. The way indexu's google pr retrieval is checking database first.

According to error message, it could be that your ip / domain is banned from google when perform pr checking.

For solution. I think you may need to move to other hosting.
