how to display fields in rows.html

I would like to customise rows.html, Ideally i wanted to display the keywords field, added the <%$keywords%> to the file , but it prints ARRAY.
So added the $keywords & $link_keywords to browse.php // vars template & // vars global configuration, this did not work either.
Is rows.html a child of another php file??

to rows.html
