Google Maps UK Postal Codes

HI

I used the Google map code by GSpinney ( http://www.nicecoder.com/community/s...ead.php?t=4553) . For a while it worked, now I'm getting American streets instead of UK.

Is there a way of correcting this so it shows UK postal codes or is there another (Very Easy) script out there?

What does Google Maps require for input? Is there a Google Maps UK API key that you should be using instead?

If you look on the google maps groups people have posted with the same problem. Google maps was never supposed to support 6/7 digit uk postcodes with geocoding (probably something to do with uk postcode data copyright)
people have had problems with incorrect locations including some showing usa places for uk postcodes.If you have geocoded your postcodes to lat/lng then you should be ok but if you post the postcode to google maps this is where the problem seems to be.

you need 3rd party and pay for the geocoding unfortunatly. The royal mail int he UK charge huge licensing fees.

I have paid over $1200 on this for 3 sites I used postcodeanywhere.com but they put the prices up again because the royal mail have put more restrictions on the license.

Cool, it shouldnt work any different to the USA geocoder, just put in the address... i read up a little on this and it seems the postcode support has been removed several times... it seems to work now though.
