Display New links

Hello,

I need to display new listings on my site but order them by BID. I have tried but I cant seem to be able to do it. I have edited the new_and_updated_listings php block and added order by bid desc; however this doesnt work. IT doesnt display the new links on my main page by bid and if I edit a link then that link appears first.

Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

I had to create a custom block when I did this... You can see Web4Bids.com and look at the main page in the center column.

I'll try to get my files together on it and post them back to this thread for you. Might not be until late tonight, eastern time zone

I would really appreciate your help on this. Ive been brainstorming all day and couldn't find a solution.

If i think about it I only need to extract links from one category and place them on the first page( sorted by bid ). I can extract them using RSS from that specific category however I couldn't find a solution to sort them by bid ...

Here are the files...

Put the two block html files in /themes/your_theme/blocks/ and add to call the block use the following :

 <%block_random_listing listing_type="topbid" title="Top Bidders"%>

Remember, I modified the html files for my site, so you might need to tweek it a little for yours

HAHHAA... I wasn't holding back or anything, I just wasn't that proud of the way I made the changes and adjustments But since someone was having a problem doing it, I was willing to share the mess I created! LOL
