Create Category Block with stat

Hello

Id like to create category block on frontpage to show all categories and link stat.Categories name should be clickable.

For example:
Business (425 link)
Books (417 link)
etc...

How can i do that?

You'd need to make a block first, which is quite simple really. Then you would need to find out what variables get called from the index and add them to the block so that you can display the categories plus link count.

It's not a 30 second job, but not impossible either.

Does that show link numbers as well? I didn't think it did.
