While I have pretty much gotten out of the links directory "business" (and I use the term business very loosely since I think it is more a hobby for most of us), I still have one small links directory of about 1,500 links that I started with over 7 years ago.

One of the problems with a links directory, especially a "free" one, is deadlinks. While I have a way to check deadlinks, one of the problems is that the original link owner lost the domain name and someone else has taken over the link. While the original link was a viable business, the new owner has installed some type of "click-thru" directory that the new owner is making money off of. AND I AM SENDING CUSTOMERS TO THE SITE AND NOT GETTING ANY MONEY FOR IT.

So. I created this mod to work with INDEXU. Obviously, if you have thousands of links you will need other people but if you have a small directory it should not be too time-consuming.

It allows you to easily view the front page of the site and to delete the link if you want to. Specifically, it presents the links in a paginated table and with a single mouse click opens the link in a new temporary window. The window automatically closes in a specified number of seconds. If you need to, you can open the link in another window to allow more time. You can delete the link by clicking on the delete icon in the table or a link in the "temporary" window that is opened (you will need to "refresh" the table if you use this method to delete the link).
