I want to ask if it's possible to make categories show up on 2 columns on the main page and 3 columns on the category pages... Another thing will be to make the NEW LINKS section (new.php) more costumizable..(this can be taken also as a suggestion for future indexu versions )I can't even touch that part without knowing php very well.. When I say costumizable I mean to be able to modify the paths and other things that show up on new.php pages. I look into lib folder into link.class.php but its very difficult (for me) to modify the link style and other things from there... And finally the third thing (for today ), if there is possible to make new links show up in their main categories, let's say if there is this main category:CARS and other subcats: > DODGE > BMW > CHRYSLER etc. if there's a new link in any of the sub categories (DODGE, etc.) when a visitors clicks on category CARS from the main page, he goes into CARS category page and in that category he will see something like this: NEW LINKS: link 1 (this link will be from dodge category but the visitor will see it into cars category only as a new link) link 2 etc. CATEGORIES DODGE BMW CHRYSLER end of page. In my oppinion this will be a great feature for those who use indexu script not as a general directory, but they use it as a niche script in many different domains, for example a site that only presents something, products, stuff, anything, you name it...this will be a great feature. For now I just want to know if any of these features can be done on indexu... Cheers, Marian

About new.php, I don't want to change the paths, maybe I didn't say it right, I want to change the way they look (font, color, put them in other places on the page)...and I didn't found were to do that in indexu templates. I want to have something like a block that will show only the new links in every parent category and the new links that i'm talking about can be from any sub category of that parent category, hope you'll understand what i'm trying to say. But i'm very sure this will be impossible. And about making categories show up on 3 columns on categories pages, thats complicated to, that's why I was asking if someone could do that for me. From seting.php I can only edit the general setings, on how many columns categories will be displayed on every single page.

Thank you for your post FSGDAG I've already look up into style.css and really I can't change nothing related to new.php from there, and as for Bruce it should be like you, I just can't find it... In my new.html file source they are just noted as "<%$new_listing%>". Please tell me from were to change the font, color and position of these links. I'll upload a picture to be sure we are talking about the same thing.
