    Default Anyone Fancy A Virgin?

    Hi

I am very NEW to this, so as an indexu virgin, i am asking for some patience and a reduced speed in explaining things to me. My question is simple. Can someone in an easy, step by step way, explain to me how t modfy a single block. Let me choose the TELL A FRIEND block for instance.

Firstly - can I change the title to say something different? If not, is there a way to add my own block in there, with my own title?

Secondly, if I want to remove that contents, do I just delete the html that is currently in a block, and paste html i cretaed in dreamweaver in there?

Last question I promise (for now anyway) - can I add additional blocks in the left sidebar? What is that process.

In eager anticipation of your help I am thanking you in advance, promising that this virgin will work hard to conquer the beast that is INDEX U

    Thanx

First go to the Admin Panel - Templates - Template Manager

On the right hand side click on Edit (looks like a pencil)

Since you want to edit tell a friend then you look (or search) for blocks/block.tell_friend.html

Click Edit (looks like a pencil). Now you see the code.

To change the title, look for <%t%>Tell a Friend<%/t%> do NOT remove the <%t%> or the <%/t%> or you WILL break it. Simply change the text. Continue down the page to make further changes.

Yes you could delete all the HTML there and paste whatever you want.

To make a block is more involved, if you're that new why don't you work on what's above and get that going first, then try moving on.
